Job summary

Milliman, Inc. seeks a Senior AI Product Manager to own the technical direction of AI-enabled health software within CMH Health. You will collaborate with product owners, engineers, and healthcare experts to shape architecture, verification, and release practices, while guiding AI-assisted development and reusable tooling across teams.

You will lead engineering teams, examine production behavior, and drive practical ownership and accountability through robust delivery outcomes, not just meetings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• At least six years of relevant software engineering or data-intensive systems experience.
• At least six months of technical leadership and delivery ownership.
• Strong production software engineering skills; ability to inspect, debug, and improve implementations.
• Experience deploying cloud-based systems on Azure or a similar platform.
• Strong SQL, data modeling, APIs, and cross-system integration skills.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools and validating their outputs.

Responsibilities

• Lead pragmatic architecture and integration; design service boundaries, APIs, data models, and integrations balancing reliability, security, performance, cost, and maintainability.
• Turn business needs into executable technical plans; clarify requirements, identify dependencies, and sequence increments; own delivery commitments and raise risks early.
• Build verification into delivery; strengthen automated tests, data-quality controls, regression checks, and AI evaluation practices.
• Improve production readiness and operability; establish deployment, monitoring, rollback, and support practices.
• Guide the use of coding agents and AI tools, including context management, generated-code review, evaluation, and human oversight.
• Create reusable engineering capabilities; develop patterns and tooling that teams can adopt without over-abstraction.
• Develop independent engineers; delegate ownership, review designs, and coach others through difficult technical decisions.
• Connect engineering decisions to user outcomes; support rollout and explain risks; partner with domain authorities to meet quality and risk requirements.
