Job summary

VERSANT Media, based at CNBC Headquarters in Englewood Cliffs, NJ, seeks a highly driven equity analyst to build AI-powered equity research. You’ll work with top-tier teams across engineering, product, and buy-side talent to translate fundamental research into scalable software, models, and AI-enabled products.

The role emphasizes building scalable systems over rote research, with ownership and autonomy in a fast-paced environment and exposure to decision-makers.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of buy-side public markets investing experience.
• Experience contributing to a rigorous, process-driven strategy at a successful buy-side firm.
• Practical LLM workflow experience in equity research workflows.
• Experience programming, coding or working with data to design automated equity analysis features.
• Systematic, data-driven thinker with ability to translate research into repeatable strategy.
• Multi-sector experience with independent fundamental research across sectors.
• Strong forensic accounting knowledge and three-statement modeling.

Responsibilities

• Convert equity research insights into scalable AI equity research features for stock discovery, research, and selection.
• Design and evaluate LLM-based workflows to process unstructured data into structured metrics.
• Develop and evaluate sector-based factor models using fundamental research and quantitative techniques.
• Oversee stock-picking models to surface the best opportunities for a large retail investor audience.
• Partner with Engineering to implement pipelines (APIs, DAGs, databases) and backtests.
