Job summary

AccruePartners is seeking a senior individual contributor to own and operate enterprise AI and automation platforms. The role involves developing and deploying agents and automations that scale from pilots to production, with end-to-end technical ownership and governance across Azure, Copilot, and multi-cloud environments.

You will partner with cross-functional teams across 11 regional offices and hybrid schedules in Charlotte, NC, with remote candidates in Eastern/Central zones who can travel

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience building and operating production software or automation systems.
• Strong coding proficiency in Python with tested, peer‑reviewed and version‑controlled development.
• Hands-on experience with large language models, RAG, agent orchestration, tool and function calling, prompt engineering and structured outputs.
• Proven ownership of live production systems, including CI/CD, releases, monitoring, rollback, incident response and root-cause remediation.
• Strong integration engineering experience across REST APIs, MCPs, webhooks, authentication, retry logic and troubleshooting.
• Experience developing evaluation frameworks for non-deterministic AI systems and measuring quality, accuracy and regression.
• Working knowledge of cloud, identity and security fundamentals, with Microsoft Azure experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Foundry, AWS or multi-cloud environments is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

• Own enterprise AI and automation platforms from development through production.
• Build AI agents, enterprise automations and integrations that move from pilot programs into production.
• Create business context layers grounding AI outputs in current, permissible information.
• Replace manual handoffs with scalable, observable, reliable workflows.
• Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks and monitoring to maintain quality.
• Support responsible AI operations through access controls, audit logging, data lineage and change management.
