Job summary

LightBox is seeking a Senior Engineer - AI Platform to build self-service infrastructure and developer-facing tooling for its AI capabilities. You will connect proprietary CRE data with AI models and production applications, spanning MCP servers, API gateways, and internal tools.

You'll work across the stack to enable model deployment, routing, and integration into LightBox's workflow apps for hundreds of thousands of industry professionals daily.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Backend-leaning full-stack foundation.
• Experience building APIs and microservices.
• Cloud infrastructure (AWS or GCP).
• Containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with LLM integration patterns.
• Strong API design and data modeling fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement API gateways, model routing layers, and service infrastructure that connect fine-tuned CRE models with production applications.
• Develop internal developer tooling - prompt management interfaces, evaluation dashboards, trace viewers - to accelerate shipping AI features.
• Implement integration patterns for embedding AI capabilities into LightBox's existing workflow applications, ensuring seamless user experiences.
• Build observability and monitoring infrastructure for AI workloads: latency tracking, quality metrics, cost attribution, and usage analytics.
• Contribute to the platform's knowledge retrieval and caching layers, optimizing for accuracy and performance at scale.
• Collaborate with ML engineers on model serving infrastructure to bridge training outputs and production deployment.
• Participate in architecture decisions and technical design reviews with a full-stack perspective.
