Job summary

Teradata Corporation (SE) seeks a senior software engineer to lead the AI-native agentic workflows that enhance engineering productivity and observability across the Teradata AI Platform.

You will architect and deploy AI-driven agents, integrate LLMs into production workflows, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve system reliability and autonomous operations. A strong background in Python and distributed systems is essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with AI/ML in production.
• Experience building AI agents, LLM-driven systems, or autonomous workflows.
• Strong Python and at least one of Java or Go.
• Experience with distributed systems, telemetry data, observability architectures.
• Foundational AI skills including prompt engineering, model evaluation, agent orchestration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of AI-native agentic workflows for engineering productivity and observability.
• Build AI-driven systems that reason, analyze, and act across telemetry, applications, and workflows.
• Architect AI agents for observability, automated root cause analysis, and MTTR improvement.
• Design workflows integrating telemetry pipelines, application stacks, and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop AI tooling to accelerate development velocity and reduce toil.
• Apply LLMs and reasoning frameworks to automate debugging and diagnostics.
• Drive AI-native development practices across apps, tooling, and platform engineering.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed intelligent automation into CI/CD, DevOps, and support workflows.
• Apply foundational AI skills to enhance productivity, innovation, and impact across the workforce.
• Shape how Teradata builds, monitors, and operates its AI-powered platform.
