You will collaborate with AI software developers, system administrators, and project managers to deliver solutions that integrate with existing infrastructure and create value for end users.

The ideal candidate has a 4-year or graduate degree in CS/IS and 7–10 years in systems engineering, with hands-on experience in AI workloads, C++, Python, and Azure.

• Four-year or graduate degree in CS, IS, or related discipline.
• Preferred Certifications: CSSE and CSEP.

Senior AI Platform Engineer Description - Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of robust and scalable AI software systems for HP commercial PCs. The role collaborates with cross-functional teams, including AI software developers, system administrators, and project managers, to create solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing infrastructure and deliver value to end-users. The role ensures the efficiency, reliability, and performance of software systems. The role provides guidance to other team members on developing validation execution plans for new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Focuses on delivering AI related system software for the best customer experience.
• Oversees the installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of operating systems, AI application software, and system management tools.
• Monitors and tests AI application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifies possible solutions, and works with developers to implement those fixes.
• Optimizes software systems for performance, scalability, and resource efficiency to ensure optimal user experience.
• Gathers all the system engineering requirements for the infrastructure components by working with engineering groups and other stakeholders.
• Leads multiple project teams of other software systems engineers responsible for all stages of design and development for complex products and platforms, including solution design, analysis, coding, testing, and integration.
• Manages and expands relationships with internal and outsourced development partners on software systems design and development.
• Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with systems design and development guidelines and standards; provides tangible feedback to improve product quality and mitigate failure risk.
• Provides domain-specific expertise and overall software systems leadership and perspective to cross-organization projects, programs, and activities.
• Drivers innovation and integration of new technologies into projects and activities in the software systems design organization.
• Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members.

Education & Experience Recommended

• Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
• Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in systems engineering, computer programming language, or a related field.
