Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation in the United States is seeking an experienced performance tooling engineer to design and build tools for AI training and inference workloads. You will translate engineers’ needs into scalable, intuitive tooling and collaborate with performance engineers, hardware architects, and software teams to align profiling with real-world AI workloads.

The role requires advanced degrees or equivalent experience, deep knowledge of AI workloads, and strong Python and C++ skills.

Qualifications

MS/PhD in CS/CE or equivalent, with 6+ years of relevant work experience.
Deep knowledge of AI workloads, frameworks, and performance characteristics.
Experience building tools, workflows, or infrastructure used by engineers.
Strong software development skills in Python and C++.
Ability to translate user requirements into scalable tooling.
Up-to-date with AI-enabled tooling for software development and perf analysis.
Strong interpersonal skills to work across multi-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Design and build performance analysis tools and workflows for AI training and inference workloads.
Translate user needs into scalable tooling.
Develop integrations between profiling infrastructure and AI frameworks/workflows.
Collaborate with performance engineers, hardware architects, and software teams to align profiling with workloads.
Identify bottlenecks and develop automated approaches to detect and diagnose them.
