Job summary

Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is seeking a senior software engineer to join our growing team in Santa Clara. You will be a key contributor responsible for validating AI Networking features at the system level, leveraging AI tools to accelerate validation cycles, and driving automated test development in a fast-paced Agile environment.

The role requires strong Python automation skills, deep networking testing experience, and the ability to collaborate across multiple engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in CS/CE/EE or equivalent.
• Strong experience in Networking Testing and Automation.
• Proficient in Python scripting and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Validate new software features for AI Networking at a system level before releasing them to customers.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate software validation cycle.
• Active contribution to the day-to-day activities of the System Test in an Agile environment.
• Write Test plans and review it with all stakeholders to cover the scenarios comprehensively and execute efficiently.
• Build maintainable, high quality and effective automated test scripts.
• Review and triage test failures and verify fixes.
• Help customer reported issues by reproducing the issue locally, work with peer teams for faster resolution.
• Stay informed of software and hardware trends and innovations, especially pertaining to networking and accelerators.
• Debugging complex technical issues and collaborate with peer teams.
• Develop technical relationships with peers and partners
