Job summary

Designworks Talent is seeking an Applied Researcher – Network Expert for a hybrid Bellevue, WA role focusing on AI infrastructure and GPU-based computing. Lead the assessment and guidance on interconnects, fabrics, and tenancy for thousands of GPUs.

You will partner with engineering and infrastructure leaders to translate research into practical engineering, product, and commercial guidance, owning fabric strategy and observability in a lean, high-ownership team.

Qualifications

• Deep professional experience in networking at scale.
• Hands-on expertise with GPU/HPC fabrics (current generations).
• Experience debugging collective communication performance in production.

Responsibilities

• Define and track the AI networking direction for large GPU clusters.
• Assess vendor roadmaps, standards, and approaches across fabrics and interconnects.
• Translate research into engineering, product, and go-to-market guidance.
• Own the fabric strategy, telemetry, and isolation for multi-tenant workloads.
• Support cost/performance analysis for optics, cabling, and ports.
• Provide technical diligence on vendors and integration targets.
• Collaborate with data-center and infrastructure teams to land solutions.
