Job summary

NXP Semiconductors is seeking a Senior MPU/DNPU Field Application Engineer to provide premium technical support at customer sites and drive design-in activity. You will collaborate with sales and engineering to understand customer roadmaps and deliver compelling technical solutions for MPU and DNPU products.

The role requires hands-on embedded systems experience, strong C/C++ skills, and the ability to travel up to 30% in the continental US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years of development engineering or applications support for microprocessor-based embedded systems.
• Minimum 5 years Field Application Engineering experience in the semiconductor industry.
• Experience with C and C++ and embedded firmware development.
• Knowledge of ARM Cortex-A/M, embedded Linux, and RTOS.
• Willingness to travel up to 30% within continental US.

Responsibilities

• Deliver premium technical support to assigned customers.
• Accountable to drive design wins in target accounts and technology.
• Lead PoC, solution design and demonstrations to secure design-in.
• Synthesize customer and competitive insights to influence roadmaps.
• Direct design-in campaigns to ensure early involvement in tech roadmap.
• Understand and communicate ecosystem solutions and value proposition.
• Own system software architecture discussions for broader team.
