Pfizer seeks an innovative AI/ML Engineering leader to accelerate AI-driven vaccine discovery. You will architect an AI-ready data ecosystem spanning lab to clinic and lead cross-functional teams to deliver data pipelines, knowledge graphs, and predictive models.

The role blends AI, data engineering, and vaccine science to enable interoperable, reusable research data that informs design, prioritization, and decision-making across programs.

Qualifications

• PhD in CS/ML/Computational Biology or related field, OR Master’s with ≥4 years applied AI/ML in R&D.
• Proven experience architecting data-intensive AI/ML solutions on complex biological datasets.
• Experience transforming heterogeneous research data into scalable AI-ready ecosystems.
• Strong Python skills and PyTorch or TensorFlow experience.
• Experience designing data architectures, metadata standards, knowledge graphs, or related tech.
• Experience in cloud or HPC environments.
• Excellent collaboration and communication across scientific, computational, and technology teams.
• Ability to influence technical direction across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategy and implementation to transform diverse research data into AI-ready resources.
• Design integrated data architectures spanning laboratory to clinical domains.
• Develop automated data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration pipelines.
• Define semantic data models, ontologies, and knowledge representations for interoperability.
• Build knowledge graphs and retrieval systems to support AI interaction with research data.
• Translate AI objectives into scalable roadmaps and cross-functional alignment.
