BluJuniper is an AI and optimization company building advanced software systems for complex operational environments. Our work spans cloud-native platforms, computer vision, natural language processing, data infrastructure, secure collaboration, and mission-focused AI/ML applications.
We are looking for a Senior AI/ML Engineer to develop ultra-fast navigation and spatial reasoning algorithms for complex 3D environments. This role will focus on algorithm development, evaluation, metrics, and production inference workflows.
$160,000 - $225,000 per year
Compensation will be based on experience, location, and qualifications. BluJuniper offers competitive compensation and benefits for eligible employees. Employees are eligible for bonuses and stock options.
As a Senior AI/ML Engineer, you will work on navigation-related algorithms that support fast reasoning through complex environments. You should be comfortable developing algorithms, building evaluation methods, analyzing performance tradeoffs, and supporting the data and inference pipelines needed to bring those capabilities into production.
This role is ideal for an engineer with strong software development experience, strong algorithmic instincts, and comfort working in technical domains involving spatial data, simulation, or complex environments. Experience with lower-level or object-oriented languages such as C++ or Rust is a plus.
In this role, success means you can deliver fast, measurable, and reliable navigation-related capabilities. You can show how an algorithm performs, explain the tradeoffs behind it, and help move it from prototype to production-ready workflow.
We are looking for someone who combines strong algorithmic thinking with practical engineering judgment. The ideal candidate enjoys making systems faster, more measurable, and easier to evaluate under real operational constraints.
This is a hybrid role based in Washington, DC.
