Job summary

Amazon in Houston seeks an experienced Data Scientist for AWS Professional Services to design, build, validate, and deploy end-to-end ML/DL solutions on AWS. You will collaborate with Big Data and DevOps teams to take models from discovery through production, addressing high-value AI/ML opportunities for large enterprises.

The role involves guiding sellers, briefing stakeholders, and deploying scalable cloud solutions, with a focus on model monitoring, retraining, and performance optimization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of technical specialist, design and architecture experience.
• 3+ years of cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system experience.
• 7+ years of external or internal customer facing, complex and large scale project management experience.
• 5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience.
• Bachelor's degree, or 7+ years of professional or military experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of Account Executives and Cloud Architects.
• Develop and support execution of sales strategies to meet team targets and drive revenue growth.
• Manage customer relationships, ensuring high satisfaction and identifying new opportunities.
• Leverage deep AWS knowledge to guide sellers in proposing optimal solutions.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs, ensure accurate reporting and forecasting to optimise processes and manage risk.
