Job summary

Groq, Inc. is seeking a Sr./Staff Forward Deployed Engineer focused on AI Infrastructure to drive complex customer programs from requirements to production environments.

You will work across GroqCloud, GroqMetal, GPU and LPX infrastructure, and the surrounding network/storage/orchestration layers. This hands-on role partners with multiple internal teams and shapes tooling and reference architectures for future deployments.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of hands-on experience building, deploying, operating, or troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, AI infrastructure, HPC systems, or similar production environments.
• Strong Linux and distributed-systems fundamentals, with practical Kubernetes, Slurm, bare-metal experience.
• Meaningful depth in at least one area such as GPU/accelerator systems, networking, storage, orchestration, or infrastructure reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own technical execution across complex customer engagements from discovery through PoCs to production readiness.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into concrete architectures, runbooks, and action plans.
• Work hands-on across Linux, Kubernetes, networking, storage, and Groq platform integrations.
• Support large-scale GPU and LPX deployments with health checks, benchmarking, and validation.
• Understand AI workloads to reason about training/inference performance and bottlenecks.
• Lead technical portions of customer reviews, demos, and proofs of concept with clear tradeoffs and risks.
• Collaborate with Networking and Security on private connectivity, routing, and security diligence.
• Troubleshoot cross-boundary issues and drive them to resolution.
• Embed with platform/infra teams to close gaps and improve the platform for future deployments.
• Build reusable tooling, reference architectures, and deployment patterns for repeatable success.
