Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and scale AI infrastructure components from a remote location. You will work across Python, TypeScript and other modern languages to power training, evaluation and deployment pipelines for AI products used by millions.

You will tackle architectural challenges, ship high-quality code, and collaborate with AI researchers and engineers in an async-first environment with strong ownership and autonomy.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language.
• Experience building and deploying backend services and APIs.
• Cloud platforms and containerized environments experience.
• Familiar with Git, CI/CD, and modern tooling.
• Excellent written communication and async collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain production-grade software systems for AI pipelines.
• Write clean, well-tested code in Python, TypeScript, or other modern languages.
• Build and optimize APIs, data pipelines, and backend services at scale.
• Architect solutions balancing speed and maintainability.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across distributed systems and cloud infra.
• Collaborate asynchronously with ML engineers, researchers, and product managers.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to engineering best practices.
