Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an AI Engineering role focused on designing and optimizing scalable infrastructure foundations for AI solutions using Terraform in a hybrid work model. The candidate will apply 15+ years of experience to create secure, reliable, and cost-effective platforms that support data-driven products for global finance and accounting stakeholders.

Responsibilities include building robust Terraform blueprints, developing modules, coordinating end-to-end lifecycles, and aligning designs

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on Terraform IaC experience including module design and state management.
• Fifteen+ years in infrastructure engineering or architecture with automation and scalable design.
• Understanding AI/data platform requirements including compute-intensive workloads and high availability.

Responsibilities

• Design robust Terraform-based blueprints for scalable, secure AI platforms in hybrid environments.
• Develop standardized Terraform modules and templates to reduce risk and improve consistency.
• Coordinate end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle including planning, capacity forecasting and environment setup.
• Optimize architectures balancing resilience, efficiency and cost for data workloads.
• Guide teams in adopting infrastructure as code with version control and automated validation.
• Integrate monitoring, logging and alerting to improve service reliability.
• Collaborate with security/compliance to align designs with regulatory expectations.
• Evaluate new cloud services and automation techniques to future-proof AI infrastructure.
• Document designs, standards and runbooks for engineering support.
• Coordinate with data/AI teams to tune capacity, networking and storage for ML pipelines.
• Support hybrid work by enabling secure remote access and environment consistency.
• Align infrastructure decisions with business outcomes in finance and accounting domains.
• Provide guidance during incident reviews and architecture assessments.
