Job summary

Graphcore in Austin, TX is seeking a Senior System Tests & Diagnostics Engineer to develop and extend silicon validation tools for next‑generation AI SoCs. You will build diagnostics and stress tools to expose hardware issues across CPUs, memory, PCIe, storage, and firmware, collaborating with hardware, firmware and validation teams.

The role requires 6+ years in hardware diagnostics or low‑level software, strong Python and C/C++ skills, and a deep understanding of server platform architectures

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience developing hardware diagnostics, system validation software, or low‑level systems software.
• Strong Python and C/C++ development skills and experience debugging hardware/software interactions.
• Experience with server platforms, embedded systems, or SoC validation and cross‑functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Learn and extend Arm diagnostics tools to support Graphcore’s AI platform.
• Develop diagnostics and stress-testing software for CPU, memory, PCIe, and other system components.
• Build reusable validation utilities that integrate into the existing validation framework.
• Develop tools exposing intermittent hardware failures including silent data corruption and hardware instability.
• Design configurable diagnostics for multiple silicon revisions, platforms, and environments.
• Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and validation teams to improve observability.
