Job summary

The Hartford seeks a Sr Analyst in Model Risk Management to validate AI and GenAI models across the enterprise. You will review model inputs, methods, and outputs, challenge results, and document findings to meet internal standards and regulatory expectations.

Collaboration with Data Science teams and stakeholders is essential. With a strong background in ML/AI, you will stay current on GenAI advances, apply governance practices, and help evolve validation frameworks and tools used for model

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.S. or Ph.D.) in a relevant field (AI/ML/Computational Science/Engineering/Statistics/Actuarial Science/CS).
• 3+ years of industry experience in machine learning or data science with 1+ years focused on GenAI.
• P&C, Group, Life or related insurance product experience is a plus.
• Strong programming experience across Python, R, SAS/SQL.
• Solid understanding of GenAI concepts including prompt/context engineering, RAG, and LLM evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Perform model validations on AI and GenAI use cases across The Hartford to ensure models are accurate and appropriate for intended use.
• Review data inputs, prompt engineering, context engineering, and model outputs for accuracy and proper downstream use.
• Design testing methods for tasks such as summarization, QA, search, data synthesis, and decision support.
• Educate modeling best practices and strengthen model risk awareness across the enterprise.
• Assist in enhancing GenAI validation frameworks and alignment with regulatory standards.
