EY seeks a senior, hands-on Distinguished Engineer to lead the delivery of AI-native systems into highly regulated industries such as tax, finance, and risk. This role sits at the intersection of real-world delivery, architecture enforcement, and platform feedback, ensuring AI systems move from concept to production with speed, safety, and audit-grade rigor.

As part of the Advanced Forward Engineering team, you’ll partner with Product Engineering and governance authorities to translate field

Qualifications

• 10+ years delivering complex AI enterprise systems in regulated industries.
• Distributed systems, cloud platforms, integration-heavy architectures.
• Hands-on with modern AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM-backed services).
• Proven in forward-deployed or client-facing engineering roles with real-world constraints.
• Track record of reusable technical patterns or platforms that scale.
• Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and platform teams.
• Strong SDLC, quality gates, and production readiness in enterprises.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cross-engagement technical authority, ensuring architecture-aligned delivery in regulated environments.
• Consolidate learnings into durable reference integrations and reusable patterns.
• Work with AI agents to support safe-to-ship decisions with evidence and validation inputs.
• Operate as a player-coach, guiding delivery teams toward repeatable approaches.
• Consolidate and communicate cross-cell signals into evidence-based recommendations.
• Partner with Product Engineering and Architecture to package client patterns into technical business cases and backlog items.
