Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering/Math or related with 7+ years exp, or Master's with 5+ years.
• 2+ years building and deploying LLM-powered apps in production.
• Experience developing AI-driven workflows or autonomous systems.
• Strong Python programming and software engineering skills.
• APIs, external services integration, automated tests, production support.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks like LangGraph or similar.
• Familiarity with foundation model APIs and AWS Bedrock.
• Experience evaluating AI solutions with tests, benchmarks, and performance metrics.
• Understanding of AI governance, security, observability, and reliability.

Responsibilities

Job DescriptionAn established organization in the insurance and financial services space is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to lead the development of next-generation AI solutions that improve operational efficiency and transform complex business processes.

In this role, you will design, build, and deploy production-ready AI applications, agent-based systems, and intelligent workflow solutions that integrate with enterprise platforms and data sources. You'll work closely with architects, business leaders, and engineering teams to deliver scalable AI products from concept through production.

This position is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys combining software engineering excellence with modern AI technologies to solve challenging real-world problems.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline with 7+ years of professional experience, or a Master's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience
• 2+ years of hands-on experience building and deploying LLM-powered applications in production environments
• Experience developing AI-driven workflows, autonomous systems, or multi-step orchestration solutions
• Strong Python programming and software engineering skills
• Expertise building APIs, integrating external services, implementing automated testing, and supporting production applications
• Experience working with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or similar technologies
• Familiarity with foundation model APIs and managed AI platforms such as Amazon Bedrock
• Experience evaluating AI solutions through testing frameworks, benchmark datasets, and performance measurement techniques
• Understanding of AI governance, security, observability, and reliability best practices
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and business stakeholders

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience within insurance, financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of underwriting, claims processing, or operational workflow automation

• Familiarity with Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), structured outputs, and prompt engineering techniques
• Experience integrating enterprise systems through APIs and MCP-based architectures

• Establish testing, evaluation, and monitoring standards for AI applications in production
• Implement logging, observability, security controls, audit capabilities, and operational guardrails
• Develop proof-of-concept applications and MVP solutions to validate business value
• Support cloud deployments, containerized workloads, and automated delivery pipelines
• Present technical findings, solution performance, and business impact to stakeholders across the organization

The Offer

• Base Salary: $140,000 - $191,000
• Eligibility for performance-based bonus opportunities
