Job summary

Harnham is hiring a Senior AI Engineer to design agentic workflows and autonomous AI features. You will build orchestration frameworks, integrate with data systems, and own the full SDLC from design to deployment.

The role focuses on reliable, scalable AI systems and shaping engineering strategy in a remote, US-based environment. Ideal candidates have deep experience with distributed systems, APIs, LLMs, and agent orchestration, and will collaborate with product teams to deliver production-ready

Qualifications

• Strong commercial software engineering experience with distributed systems, APIs and scalable development.
• Proven experience building apps using LLMs, AI agents, orchestration frameworks or autonomous workflows.
• Experience deploying production-grade AI systems with focus on reliability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop agentic workflows, autonomous systems and AI-powered features.
• Build orchestration frameworks, tool integrations and multi-step agent capabilities.
• Create robust evaluation, monitoring, guardrail and observability for production AI systems.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business processes into agent-driven solutions.
• Integrate AI workflows with enterprise data systems and third-party tech.
• Own the full software lifecycle from design to deployment and optimisation.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and engineering strategy across the team.
• Champion use of AI-assisted development tools and establish best practices.
