Job summary

Infosys is seeking a Specialist Programmer within the Strategic Technology Group (STG) to tackle large-scale tech challenges. You will design scalable AI systems, develop production-grade code, and mentor teams across software design, cloud architectures, and data engineering.

The role emphasizes responsible AI practices, collaboration with data scientists, and delivering deployment-ready prototypes using generative AI capabilities. Remote-friendly with global delivery exposure.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and applying Agentic AI, Agent orchestration, Context Harness.
• Strong understanding of LangGraph, LangChain, machine learning fundamentals, and NLP.
• Proficiency in Python and Rust; familiarity with TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Design, develop, and deploy generative AI models for varied applications and tasks.
• Fine-tune pre-trained LLMs for task-specific domains ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Manage the entire AI development lifecycle from data prep to deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers on requirements.
• Stay up to date on generative AI advancements and contribute to responsible AI practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user stories and use cases to ensure production-ready delivery.
• Define design specifications and technology frameworks; assist in creating reusable assets.
• Deliver high-quality, optimized code across apps and databases; debug complex routines.
• Foster a robust technical environment; support error-free coding.
• Participate in knowledge transfer; utilize reverse engineering for transitions.
• Deploy solutions exploring new tech via initial prototypes; support POC initiatives.
• Promote adoption of emerging tech aligned to business needs.
• Support QoS requirements and resolution of critical production issues.
• Interface with customers during warranty support to fix issues promptly.
• Coordinate with team to mitigate risks and ensure timely resolutions.
• Fix issues during testing to ensure clean releases.
