Job summary

Rubrik is seeking senior software engineers to redesign and ship end-to-end agent systems that power enterprise AI initiatives. You will own agent architectures, build production-grade infrastructure around model endpoints, and integrate tooling and context pipelines in production.

You’ll partner with product and domain experts to define problems, design multi-agent workflows, and push guardrails, tests, and CI/CD to deliver reliable, scalable automation across HR, IT, and finance domains.

Qualifications

• System design: APIs, data models, latency, and failure modes.
• Algorithms, data structures, access control, and data provenance.
• Spec driven development: turn requirements into design docs and tasks.
• Execution discipline: version control, tests, CI/CD, and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Lead product discovery with PMs to map real workflows and define success criteria.
• Design, build, test, and deploy production agents and tools using agent frameworks.
• Create multi-agent workflows that carry real work and make decisions under business rules.
• Engineer autonomy with reliable tool usage, context management, and retries.
• Leverage full-stack engineering across backend services, APIs, and chat UIs.
• Apply rigorous software practices with versioning, reviews, tests, and staged rollouts.
• Establish evaluation, guardrails, and quality control with human-in-the-loop where needed.
• Use results to evolve or retire agents and build reusable patterns.
