Job summary

Infosys Limited is seeking a Senior AI engineer to design and build production-grade LLM-powered applications and agentic systems. You will own end-to-end development from architecture to deployment, leveraging Python, LangChain, and scalable cloud-based design.

The role focuses on creating RAG pipelines with embeddings, integrating AI with APIs and backend systems, and driving reliable performance and cost-efficient solutions across enterprise data landscapes.

In the assigned Job Role of Architecture Consultant 2, your Area Of Responsibility will be as below:

• Participate in customer discussions to gather and analyze system requirements for performance, security and scalability.
• Provide suggestions on solution architecture, contribute to tech framework development, support enterprise architecture definition, and drive design creation
• Identify suitable technologies and tools available in the market, and perform a comparative analysis in line with client's business requirement, thereby identifying optimal architectural solution options
• Participate in developing integration strategies based on validation of proof of concept of proposed architectural solutions
• Facilitate a smooth transition by ensuring knowledge transfer and adherence to quality standards, while contributing to the build and deployment automation strategy
• Collaborate with development teams to resolve complex technical issues using solution deployment and roll out methods, during build, deployment and support phases
• Analyze system performance basis architectural solutions implemented and support in identifying potential risks in the system landscape
• Create artifacts of architectural frameworks and technical solutions, thereby enriching team's knowledge repository

Required Skill and Experience

Senior AI engineer to design and build production-grade LLM-powered applications and agentic systems. This role owns the end-to-end development of intelligent solutions from architecture to deployment - leveraging Python, modern LLM frameworks, and scalable system design.
Key Responsibilities include
Architect and deliver end-to-end LLM-powered applications and agentic workflows using Python
Design and implement RAG pipelines over enterprise data using embeddings and vector databases
Build multi-step, tool-using agents (planning, execution, memory) using frameworks such as LangChain
Integrate AI systems with APIs, backend services, and cloud platforms
Establish evaluation, reliability, and performance strategies (accuracy, latency, cost)

Preferred Skill and Experience

Strong Python expertise with experience building and deploying production-grade backend systems
Hands-on experience developing applications using LLMs, including prompt engineering and orchestration
Proven experience with RAG architectures, embeddings, and vector databases
Experience with agentic frameworks (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, AutoGen)
Strong system design skills with experience building and scaling cloud-based applications

Additional Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

Estimated annual compensation range for this role will be as follows:
In CA / WA / NY / CO, IL, MN, NJ: $ 73000 to $ 102200
In Washington, DC: $66100 to $ 100200
