Job summary

5V Video is seeking a hands-on Senior ML Engineer to design, build, and deploy machine learning models for a major streaming platform. You will tackle content recommendation, personalization, and video quality optimization in production environments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional streaming/ platform teams to integrate ML systems into high-traffic infrastructure and own model performance against viewer and business metrics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience applying AI/ML in media, broadcast, or video streaming (OTT).
• Strong production ML engineering skills (Python; TF/PyTorch or equivalent).
• Bachelor's/Master's in CS/ML or related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.

About the role:

We're hiring on behalf of a major media & entertainment company scaling its AI/ML capability across its streaming platform. This is a hand-on engineering role focused on building and deploying machine learning systems that directly shape how millions of viewers discover, watch, and experience content; from recommendations and personalization to video quality and content intelligence.

What you'll be doing

• Design, build and deploy ML models into production for a large-scale video/OTT platform.
• Work on problems like content recommendation, personalization, video quality/encoding optimization, content understanding, or ad-tech targeting.
• Partner with streaming/platform engineering teams to integrate ML systems into live, high-traffic infrastructure.
• Own model performance in production: monitoring, iterating, and improving against real viewer/business metrics.
• Work with large-scale, high-volume media data (viewing behavior, video/audio content, metadata).
• Proven professional experience applying AI/ML specifically within media, broadcast, or video streaming (OTT). This is a hard requirement, not a nice-to-have.
• Strong production ML engineering skills (Python; TensorFlow/PyTorch or equivalent).
• Solid foundation in software engineering and distributed systems.
• Bachelor's/Master's in CS, ML, or related field, or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with recommendation systems, computer vision on video, or video encoding/ABR streaming.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience in ad-tech, personalization, or content moderation ML systems.
