Job summary

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Sr. Financial Analyst for Global Functions Finance, based in Waltham, MA.

The role focuses on standardizing, simplifying and automating recurring financial processes, partnering with functional Finance teams to improve reporting, forecasting, governance and data usability. The ideal candidate will bring 5+ years in finance, strong FP&A knowledge, and experience with Power BI or related tools, and a passion for AI-enabled finance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field required.
• 5+ years of progressive finance experience including budgeting, forecasting, planning and reporting.
• Strong understanding of FP&A processes, financial controls and month-end/quarter-end reporting.
• Strong analytical and modeling skills with large data sets.
• Appreciation for data quality, governance and practical improvements.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems; Power BI and automation tools preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to champion AI, automation and emerging tech in Finance.

Responsibilities

• Partner across Global Functions Finance to standardize recurring financial processes.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, centralize and automate repeatable finance activities.
• Advocate for AI, automation and emerging technology within Finance.
• Evaluate processes and recommend AI/automation for reporting, analysis and data prep.
• Support consolidation, forecasting, AOP, STRAP and performance reporting.
• Develop standardized forecasting models and analytical templates.
