Job summary

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software development with Data Software Engineering technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Proficiency with Spark and Databricks.
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, GCP).
• Experience with AI development tools (Claude Code, Github Copilot, Cursor).
• Strong understanding of data formats (JSON, Parquet, Avro).
• Hands-on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (Cassandra, MongoDB).
• Proficiency in data warehousing and ETL processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS, Math or related technical field.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent English communication (B2+).

Responsibilities

• Implement data ingestion from diverse sources (RDBMS, REST APIs, flat files, streams, time-series, SAP).
• Research and apply Data Software Engineering technologies for ingestion.
• Transform data using Spark, Databricks and cloud services.
• Contribute to AI adoption and agentic development environments.
• Implement business logic in the primary data platform languages.
• Optimize data retrieval, build dashboards, and validate data.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and IT teams.
• Provide thought leadership on Data Engineering best practices.
• Maintain data integrity and security across sources and platforms.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade data systems and apps.

Responsibilities

• Implement data ingestion from diverse sources utilizing technologies including RDBMS, REST HTTP API, flat files, Streams, Time series data, SAP
• Research and utilize Data Software Engineering technologies for effective data ingestion
• Process and transform data using tools such as Spark, Databricks and various Cloud Services
• Participate of next waves of AI Adoption – implement agentic development environments
• Understand and execute project-specific business logic through programming languages supported by the primary data platform
• Optimize data retrieval, develop dashboards, and perform data validation
• Collaborate with diverse teams including data scientists, analysts, and IT professionals
• Provide thought leadership on Data Software Engineering best practices and technology trends
• Maintain and ensure integrity and security of data sources and platforms
• Perform troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading of data systems and applications

Requirements

• 4+ years experience in software development with Data Software Engineering technologies
• Advanced knowledge of Python
• Proficient with Spark and Databricks
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform
• Experience with and confidence in using AI development tools eg. Claude Code, Github Copilot, Cursor
• Strong understanding of different data file formats like JSON, Parquet, Avro
• Hands‑on experience with SQL and NoSQL databases, including Cassandra and MongoDB
• Proficiency in data warehousing solutions, ETL processes
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics or related technical field
• Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of software development methodologies and best practices
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills in English (B2+)

Nice to have

• Preferred experience with message queues, specifically Kafka, and working with large data transfer applications/middleware
• Production experience in search technologies such as Solr, OpenSearch, or Lucene is highly advantageous
• Knowledge of Scala or Java
