Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an AI & Data Science Specialist to join our Tallahassee team for the FDOT client office. The role is embedded full-time, five days a week, focusing on data science, ML, AI, and cloud-based solutions.

You will build GenAI applications, deploy ML models, and develop Power BI dashboards while mentoring teammates and translating complex findings for non-technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in data-related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, AI, or ML.
• Experience deploying AI/ML solutions in production.
• Experience with LLMs and generative AI.
• Strong Python programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with industry experts to solve business challenges using data science and AI.
• Collect, organize, and analyze structured/unstructured data to identify trends.
• Design, develop, deploy ML models and predictive analytics solutions.
• Develop AI apps including generative AI leveraging LLMs (GPT, Claude, Gemini).
• Build AI-powered tools: copilots, chatbots, RAG systems, NLP, CV, predictive analytics.
• Develop dashboards/reporting tools using Power BI or similar.
• Support data and AI strategy within multidisciplinary teams.
• Mentor junior team members and communicate findings to clients and leadership.
• Utilize Azure and/or AWS for AI/analytics solutions.
• Participate in meetings, reviews, and client engagements.
