Job summary

People In AI in New York seeks a Senior Data Science Consultant to apply applied AI across private equity diligence and value creation. You will split time between pre-deal analysis and post-deal value work, building models, MVPs, and executive recommendations.

You’ll collaborate with investment teams and portfolio stakeholders, translating complex analytics into measurable business impact and guiding senior decision-makers on high-value use cases.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data science with ML/AI experience and practical modeling.
• Ability to translate technical findings into business value.
• Comfort working with senior stakeholders and clients.
• Experience in consulting, private equity, or high-performance commercial environments.

Responsibilities

• Build analytical and machine learning models that support diligence and commercial decision-making.
• Investigate businesses to assess growth opportunities, risks, customer behavior, and AI applications.
• Shape AI roadmaps and prioritize use cases based on value and feasibility.
• Develop MVPs and proofs of concept demonstrating business impact.
• Apply predictive and prescriptive modeling, optimization, and analytics to problems.
• Partner with portfolio stakeholders to move use cases from strategy into experiments.
• Present technical findings as clear, business-focused recommendations to senior stakeholders.
