Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer - AI Data to join its AI team and build the data pipelines that power model training and next-generation AI products. We build high-quality datasets at petabyte scale by combining engineering, infrastructure, and research.

We’re a fully distributed company with no office. You’ll discover new data sources, design scalable data-processing systems, and collaborate with AI scientists to improve training datasets and models.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash in Linux environments.
• Experience building/operating production data pipelines and data processing.

Responsibilities

• Discover new sources of audio data and build reliable data pipelines for training datasets.
• Build and improve large-scale data-processing systems, focusing on quality, throughput, and cost.
• Collaborate with AI Scientists to enhance training datasets and support model development.
• Own engineering projects from discovery through implementation and continuous improvement.
