Qualifications

• 8+ years in IT consulting or solution architecture including AI delivery.

Our Client: A global IT solutions provider building secure, resilient technology for enterprises worldwide is seeking a Sr. AI Consultant. This role offers the chance to shape how AI transforms security, manufacturing, and connected services, and to turn advice into working results.

Position: Sr. AI Consultant

Duration: 1 year +

Location: Plano, Texas, United States

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days per week onsite)

Role Summary:

Join the AI Center of Excellence as a senior, hands‑on consultant who helps customers and internal teams find where AI delivers measurable business value. You will identify and prioritize use cases, build business cases, and define roadmaps and governance frameworks. You will also prove the approach by running POCs and product evaluations yourself, then translate the results into clear recommendations for executive stakeholders. Security is the highest‑demand area, followed by manufacturing, and you will report to the AI COE Lead while Delivery Teams own project execution.

Responsibilities:

• Advise customers on AI adoption, from use case prioritization to roadmaps, governance, and success measures
• Analyze end-to-end business processes and build ROI and cost‑benefit cases for AI and automation
• Lead workshops and executive briefings, presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders
• Advise on responsible and secure AI adoption, including data protection, access control, and risks such as prompt injection
• Plan, build, and run POCs and hands‑on product evaluations, delivering go/no‑go recommendations
• Design solution architectures for GenAI and AI Agent solutions on Microsoft Azure or AWS
• Build reusable assets such as reference architectures, use cases, and evaluation reports, and coordinate with cloud, AI, and security partners

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Security operations, SIEM/XDR, or SOAR experience (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel, Splunk, Tines)
• Manufacturing domain knowledge, including MES, IoT/OT data, or platforms such as Ignition or SCADA
• Experience with AI Agent frameworks (e.g., Semantic Kernel, LangGraph, MCP) or Azure AI Foundry and Amazon Bedrock
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure AI Engineer, AWS Certified Generative AI Developer, CISSP, or CBAP

Required Skills/Experience:

• 8+ years in IT consulting, solution architecture, or related technical roles, including 3+ years delivering AI, GenAI, or intelligent automation in production or customer POCs
• Proven experience advising customers on AI adoption, credible with business and executive audiences
• Hands‑on skills in LLMs, RAG, prompt engineering, and cloud AI services on Azure or AWS
• Track record of running POCs and product evaluations from planning through final recommendation
• Business analysis capability, including mapping processes and identifying where AI pays off
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

Other Skills:

• Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently across cross‑functional, multicultural teams
• Experience in a global, bilingual environment

Important Notes:

• Contract-to-hire position
• Working hours are Monday through Friday, 9AM to 6PM, with occasional evening or weekend work
• Travel of up to 10-20%
