Job summary

Google Cloud is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive the design and delivery of cutting-edge distributed systems and AI-enabled features. You will contribute to cloud-native infrastructure, large-scale systems, and AI/ML initiatives across product surfaces that impact billions of users.

As a critical member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate across disciplines, and push the envelope on scalable, reliable software solutions in a fast-paced environment at Google.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience programming in Go or Python.
• 3 years of experience in software development, and designing, implementing distributed systems or cloud-native infrastructure, LLMs, Generative AI, and Agentic AI frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of features including domain-specific conversational AI agents for public sector domains.
• Advocate high standards for code quality and system reliability through design reviews and CI/CD pipelines.
• Refine open-ended technical problems into tractable projects and scalable solutions.
• Act as an AI-first SWE with strong AI-SDLC practices across requirements, design, implementation, and reviews.
• Collaborate effectively as a team member and contribute to a culture of learning.
