Job summary

EY is seeking a senior, hands-on Distinguished Engineer to lead AI-native system delivery in regulated industries, with cross-cell leadership and strong governance. The role blends delivery, architecture enforcement, and platform feedback to move AI systems from concept to production under client constraints.

You will synthesize learnings into durable enterprise patterns, collaborate with governance authorities, and mentor delivery teams while ensuring safety and audit-grade rigor.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering complex AI enterprise systems, ideally in regulated industries.
• Deep experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms, and integration-heavy architectures.
• Hands-on experience with modern AI-enabled stacks (agentic systems, orchestration, LLM-backed services).
• Proven ability to operate in forward-deployed or customer-facing roles, owning outcomes under real-world constraints.
• Track record of reusable technical patterns or platforms that scale.
• Experience collaborating with architecture, product, and platform teams.
• Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and production readiness.

Responsibilities

• Serve as cross-engagement technical authority, ensuring delivery adheres to architecture and safety in regulated environments.
• Synthesize learnings into reusable patterns and reference integrations.
• Work with AI agents to support safe-to-ship decisions with evidence and validation inputs.
• Operate as a player-coach, guiding delivery teams toward repeatable approaches.
• Consolidate cross-cell signals into evidence-based recommendations for platform investment.
• Partner with Product Engineering to package patterns into technical business cases and backlogs.
• Participate in architecture reviews and prioritization for portability and customer outcomes.
