Quantum Integrators in New Jersey is hiring a Senior AI Architect to design and deliver production AI systems for enterprise clients. You will own the technical vision for generative AI, agentic and ML solutions, from discovery workshops through to scaled deployment.

This hands-on, client-facing role shapes architecture, guides engineering teams, and helps clients turn AI pilots into secure, governed systems that deliver measurable business value.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years in software engineering, data engineering or solution architecture with 3+ years AI/ML in production.
• Hands-on building of LLM-based applications: prompt engineering, RAG, vector embeddings, agents.
• Deep cloud expertise (Azure, AWS or GCP) and its AI services.
• Strong Python programming and API/microservices experience.
• Experience guiding client-facing delivery and communicating with executives.

Quantum Integrators is hiring a Senior AI Architect to design and deliver production AI systems for our enterprise clients. You will own the technical vision for generative AI, agentic and machine learning solutions, from first discovery workshop through to scaled deployment.

This is a hands-on, client-facing role. You will shape architecture, guide engineering teams, and help clients turn AI pilots into secure, governed systems that deliver measurable business value.

What you'll do

• Lead the end-to-end architecture of AI solutions: LLM applications, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), AI agents, and classical ML models.
• Partner with client executives and stakeholders to identify high-value use cases, assess feasibility, and define roadmaps.
• Select and integrate models, frameworks and platforms (e.g., Azure OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, Google Vertex AI, open-source models) based on cost, performance and risk.
• Design scalable data and integration patterns that connect AI services to enterprise systems such as ERP, CRM and data platforms.
• Define MLOps and LLMOps practices covering evaluation, monitoring, versioning, CI/CD and cost control.
• Build in security, privacy and responsible AI controls, including guardrails, access management and compliance with regulations such as the EU AI Act.
• Guide and mentor engineers and data scientists; review designs and code, and set reference architectures and standards.
• Build proofs of concept quickly, then harden them for production.
• Support pre-sales: scope solutions, write technical proposals and present to client leadership.
• Track emerging AI research and tools, and turn what matters into reusable accelerators for the practice.

What you bring

• 10+ years in software engineering, data engineering or solution architecture, with 3+ years architecting AI/ML solutions in production.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-based applications: prompt engineering, RAG, vector databases, embeddings, fine-tuning and agent frameworks (e.g., Google ADK, LangChain, LlamaIndex).
• Deep expertise in at least one major cloud (Azure, AWS or GCP) and its AI services.
• Strong programming skills in Python, plus working knowledge of APIs, microservices, containers and Kubernetes.
• Solid grounding in data architecture: pipelines, data lakes/warehouses, and data quality and governance.
• Experience with model evaluation, observability and MLOps tooling (e.g., MLflow, Weights & Biases, OpenTelemetry).
• Track record of explaining complex technical trade-offs to executive and non-technical audiences.
• Consulting or client-facing delivery experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.

Nice to have

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning or a related field.
• Cloud architect or AI certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, Google Professional ML Engineer).
• Experience in regulated industries such as life sciences, manufacturing, financial services or healthcare, including GxP or validated systems.
• Experience integrating AI with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Salesforce or ServiceNow.
• Familiarity with AI governance frameworks such as NIST AI RMF or ISO/IEC 42001.
• Publications, open-source contributions or conference talks in AI.
