CVS Health is hiring a Staff Application Security Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems to secure AI-enabled applications, LLM integrations, and agentic workflows. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and data teams to embed security into design, development, and operation of both traditional and AI-driven solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years designing, building, or securing enterprise apps and platforms.
• 5+ years of application security including threat modeling, secure design, code review, and vulnerability management.
• 5+ years programming in Python, Java, JavaScript, C#, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain application and AI security standards and guardrails.
• Establish secure design patterns for AI agents, prompt management, tool integrations, and workflows.
• Review architectures using LLMs, retrieval augmented generation, AI agents, and AI-powered workflows.
• Define identity, authorization, data protection, observability, and governance controls for AI environments.
• Perform threat modeling, architecture reviews, and security assessments for apps and AI systems.
