Job summary

STARLIMS Corporation is building AI-enabled agent platforms and runtimes that orchestrate multi-step tasks, call tools, and hand results to human reviewers. The role focuses on agent-grounded, controllable, and observable systems with strong emphasis on reliability and validation in enterprise settings.

You will work on both the platform runtime and production agents, integrating with enterprise data, handling tool calls, and ensuring safe, auditable executions across complex workflows.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of software engineering experience in production systems.
• Experience building production LLM systems with tool-using or multi-step workflows.
• Strong understanding of LLM behavior, failure modes and error propagation.
• Experience with LLM APIs, tool calls, and planning/execution loops.
• Experience debugging non-deterministic systems.
• Solid backend and cloud experience (AWS).
• Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the runtime our agents execute on, including planning and execution loops.
• Build layers to access platform data and external systems safely.
• Coordinate delegation and handoffs across agents and workflows.
• Make agent behavior versionable, testable, and observable.
• Create reusable primitives so agents are configurable not rebuilt.
• Turn domain workflows into working agents with goals, actions, and success criteria.
• Ground agent decisions in authoritative data; involve human-in-the-loop with gates.
• Close the loop by turning user corrections into measurable signals.
• Build evaluation harnesses for multi-step behavior and tool-call accuracy.
• Implement guardrails, timeouts, and end-to-end observability.
• Integrate agents with platform APIs and enterprise data sources.
• Operate backend services on AWS and contribute to IaC pipelines.
