Harvey Nash Inc. is seeking a Senior Agentic AI Security Engineer in a hybrid Chicago NY location.

The role combines deep technical work on agentic AI systems with security architecture and executive advisory duties. You will design, build, and govern enterprise-scale intelligent automation, including LLM APIs, RAG, and multi-agent architectures, while applying strong security, compliance, and governance practices.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience building production-grade agentic AI systems.
• Experience designing agent orchestration patterns and observability of AI pipelines.
• Proven security expertise including defenses against prompt injection and jailbreaking, with red-teaming or pen testing AI systems.
• Ability to drive alignment across security, legal, compliance, product, and engineering.

Responsibilities

• Deep hands-on experience building and deploying agentic AI systems, including LLM APIs, RAG, prompt engineering, and multi-agent architectures
• Strong security mindset with expertise in AI threat modeling and secure handling of model inputs/outputs
• Solid software engineering foundation (Python + compiled language) with microservices, CI/CD, and IaC

Role Overview

• TheSr.AutomationEngineer/Senior Agentic AI Security Engineer serves as a senior technical authorityresponsible for designing, building, and governing enterprise-scaleintelligent automation systems centered on agentic artificial intelligence.

• Thisrole sits at the intersection of advanced AI engineering, securityarchitecture, and organizational strategy — driving the adoption ofautonomous agent frameworks across complex, multi-team environments.
• Theposition demands a practitioner who canoperateat both the deeptechnical layer and the executive advisory level, translating emerging AIcapabilities into resilient, production-grade systems that meet the mostrigorous security and compliance standards.

Your responsibilities will be:

1. Deep hands-on experience building and deployingagentic AI systems, including LLM APIs, RAG, prompt engineering, andmulti-agent architectures
2. Strong security mindset with expertise in AI threatmodeling, prompt injection defense, zero-trust principles, and securehandling of model inputs/outputs

The ideal candidate has

1. Proven track record building production-grade agenticAI systems that operate reliably at scale
2. Hands-on experience designing agent orchestrationpatterns, debugging non-deterministic failures, and delivering observable,auditable AI pipelines in regulated environments
3. Strong applied security expertise, includingimplementing defenses against prompt injection, jailbreaking, and toolmisuse, with experience in red-teaming or penetration testing AI systems
4. Demonstrated ability to drive alignment acrosssecurity, legal, compliance, product, and engineering, turning competingpriorities into practical, well-documented outcomes
5. Comfortable presenting architectural trade-offs andrisk decisions to senior leadership in high-stakes environments
6. Experience in financial services or regulatedindustries, with exposure to AI governance, model risk management, orinternal AI policy development preferred

A reasonable, good faith The anticipated base paycompensation range for this position is$160,000.00 to$180,000.00
