Job summary

Accenture seeks a Senior Advanced AI Research Engineer to bridge AI research with production platform engineering. You will convert research findings into production-grade Python/Node.js services and platform components, designing reusable backends and interfaces for scalable agentic AI workloads.

You will publish and prototype across experimentation, benchmarking, and platform integration, while ensuring observability and robust production quality through CI/CD and tracing instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with Python and/or Node.js/TypeScript, building production backend services.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with AI/ML systems such as LLMs, agent frameworks, inference serving, or retrieval/memory architectures.
• Master's or PhD in related field is strongly preferred.
• Hands-on experience with async Python, containers, Kubernetes, databases, and distributed tracing.

Responsibilities

• Investigate active innovation frontiers in agentic AI systems and translate findings into prototypes and platform-ready capabilities.
• Translate research into production-grade Python/Node.js services and pluggable backends for research components.
• Prototype and validate platform-level capabilities including routing policies and memory management.
• Instrument prototypes with observability (tracing, cost accounting, latency metrics) for reproducible results.
• Collaborate with platform engineers to integrate validated research into production systems and ensure proper testing and contracts.
