Job summary

Sapsol Technologies Inc. seeks a Professional, Design Engineering – Aerostructures to design, integrate, and support aerostructure components for new programs and in-service aircraft, covering primary and secondary structures with manufacturability and airworthiness in mind.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• 5+ years aerostructure design experience.
• Aerospace manufacturing experience is an asset, especially for senior roles.
• Knowledge of airworthiness certification requirements is a plus.
• Experience with systems installation integration is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain 3D digital mock-ups for aerostructure components from concept to production.
• Prepare and update 2D drawings with integrated working instructions.
• Ensure designs meet fit, form, function, manufacturability, and airworthiness standards.
• Support stress, weights, and certification activities with accurate design definition.
• Provide ongoing engineering support to manufacturing and in-service operations.
• Design and integrate metallic and/or composite aerostructure components for senior profiles.
• Manage product structure using CAD and PLM tools.
• Investigate complex design issues and develop robust technical solutions.
• Identify design risks and opportunities for weight optimization.
• Review technical documentation and participate in design reviews.
• Act as a technical reference and mentor junior engineers.
