Job summary

The Boeing Company in Hazelwood, MO is seeking a Mid-Level to Senior Aerospace Systems Safety Engineer to join the Systems Safety & Mission Assurance organization. The role focuses on software safety engineering for a Proprietary Air Dominance program, hazard analyses, and reducing safety risk across the system architecture.

Responsibilities include safety analyses, collaborator coordination, and safety verification activities with design, development, and test teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level engineering/technical degree required.
  • Level 3 requires 5+ years of engineering/technical experience.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze integration of complex airplane systems and effects at the system level.
  • Document safety analyses, hazard mitigation, validation, and verification to MIL-STD-882E etc.
  • Demonstrate hazard risk mitigation and control methods to customers/regulators.
  • Identify systemic root causes and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define, validate, and integrate safety requirements.
  • Participate in tests and analyses to verify safety requirements.
  • Resolve multi-functional technical issues.

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
