Job summary

Moog Inc. in Buffalo, NY is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Specialist to manage procurement for Military Aftermarket projects, including Test Equipment, Tooling, Non-OEM components, and Repair & Overhaul work.

The role requires a degree with 5+ years of experience or an associate with 10+ years, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in RFQ/RFP, QA, and regulatory compliance. Travel is limited to under 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of supply chain/procurement experience or an associate’s with 10+ years.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate across all levels, including customers and suppliers.
• Involves PO placement and leading negotiations with external customers or suppliers.
• Deep knowledge of procurement processes including PO placement, RFQ/RFP, QA, flow-down requirements, and scheduling.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawing requirements.
• Ability to follow supply chain regulations and procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to shifting priorities to meet business needs.
• Ability to meet deadlines and commitments; travel less than 10%.

Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers to support program requirements.
• Prepare and issue RFPs, ensuring inclusion of Moog, technical, QA, and flow-down requirements.
• Analyze supplier proposals for compliance and value.
• Lead contract negotiations with complex terms and conditions.
• Conduct project review meetings with suppliers to ensure quality and delivery.
• Monitor and resolve Engineering Change Orders prior to final delivery.
• Serve as liaison for vendor payments and contractual matters.
• Generate and manage Purchase Order documentation per Government Compliance Checklist.
