Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense Company (EBAD) in Moorpark, CA seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives for supplier performance. The role reports to the Manager, Supplier Development and focuses on QA plans, NCR/T3 closure, supplier selection, audits, and CAPA across cross-functional teams in a dynamic defense environment.

Ideal candidates hold a engineering degree with 5+ years in quality assurance, solid GD&T knowledge, and experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
Minimum of five (5) years of Quality Assurance experience.
Experience with AS9100 and NADCAP.
Proficient interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.
Willingness to travel up to 50%.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience with ERP/MRP planning systems and MS Windows tools.

Responsibilities

Implement quality management plans.
NCR closure with root-cause and corrective actions.
Support supplier selection and supplier audits.
Manage Approved Supplier List (ASL).
Use QA/QC tools to measure supplier performance and defects.
Drive CAPA and on-site source inspection.
Pareto NCR data to identify systemic issues.
Collaborate across Supply Chain, Engineering and Operations to deliver conforming parts.
