Job summary

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. seeks a Supplier Quality Engineer to manage day-to-day quality performance across the supply base, ensuring purchased materials and processes meet engineering, contractual, and regulatory requirements.

The SQE will lead supplier-related NCRs/SCARs, perform root cause analysis, FAI reviews, process capability assessments, and supplier audits, coordinating cross-functionally to prevent defects from impacting schedules and deliveries.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of precision machining processes and manufacturing methods.
• Understanding of material science and metallurgy relevant to aerospace components.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and specifications.
• Working knowledge of AS9100D and supplier quality requirements.
• Experience with root cause analysis and corrective-action methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Manage quality performance of assigned suppliers and monitor key metrics.
• Lead supplier-related NCRs and Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
• Coordinate containment of suspect or nonconforming material and drive CAPAs
• Review FAI packages per AS9102 and verify supporting documentation.
• Support supplier audits and ensure traceability across PLM/ERP/QMS.
