Job summary

TAT Technologies is seeking a Senior Buyer to lead strategic procurement across key commodities and suppliers. The role requires independent risk assessment, sourcing strategy development, and negotiation to safeguard production requirements.

You will collaborate with Operations, Planning/SIOP, Engineering, Quality, Finance, and suppliers to communicate material status and recovery actions, ensuring business performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• 10+ years buying, procurement, or strategic sourcing in manufacturing.
• Aerospace, aviation, defense, or Highly Regulated manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for assigned commodities and suppliers to support production, inventory, cost, and business objectives.
• Manage end-to-end purchasing process including supplier selection, sourcing, negotiations, PO management, and issue resolution.
• Analyze MRP demand, inventory levels, supplier commitments, and forecast changes to identify and mitigate supply risks.
• Lead supplier recovery efforts and negotiate improved pricing, delivery schedules, capacity commitments, and terms.
• Evaluate supplier performance and implement corrective actions to improve quality and reliability.
