Job summary

Mercury Systems is seeking a Buyer III to negotiate and place orders for custom mechanical goods and services in support of aerospace and defense programs. You will manage quotes, supplier selection, and open orders while monitoring delivery performance and cost targets.

The role requires 4+ years of purchasing or planning experience, ERP/MRP familiarity, and knowledge of CPSR and government FAR/DFARS flow-down requirements. Oracle experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years hands-on experience Purchasing or planning custom mechanical goods.
• ERP/MRP experience and CPSR familiarity.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Obtain quotes; negotiate with suppliers and source items per MRP and CPSR requirements.
• Purchase of custom mechanical goods, materials, and services to meet operational needs.
• Manage open orders, expediting to meet changing requirements and monitor on-time delivery.
• Document order placement, maintenance, and resolution of invoice issues; follow up.
• Maintain supplier communication and manage cost targets and inventory.
