Job summary

Albers Aerospace Amarillo, Texas, is seeking a skilled Supply Chain Manager to lead end-to-end supply chain operations supporting production and programs. You will drive procurement, supplier performance, inventory control, and logistics with an emphasis on cost efficiency and on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years in supply chain or procurement, and strong knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or related field.
• Minimum 5+ years of supply chain, procurement, or purchasing experience.
• Prior experience as Buyer or Senior Buyer strongly preferred.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government contracting requirements.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Costpoint, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
• Advanced Excel skills and data analysis capabilities.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Must be a U.S citizen.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping and receiving to ensure timely movement of materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and compliance with policies.
• Lead procurement: sourcing, negotiating, purchasing materials, components, and services.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
• Evaluate supplier performance using KPIs (OTD, quality, cost).
• Identify and qualify new suppliers to support program requirements.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and terms in alignment with policies.
• Oversee material planning, inventory management, and demand forecasting.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery to meet milestones and requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, excess/obsolete materials, and cost optimization.
• Coordinate with Operations and Production teams to align supply chain with manufacturing needs.
• Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and government regulations.
