Job summary

Beehive Industries is seeking a Lead Engineer, Controls Software to design, develop, and validate engine control software for advanced aerospace applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to optimize propulsion system performance and support engine testing and qualification.

Candidates should have 5+ years in controls engineering, strong MATLAB/Simulink skills, and the ability to obtain a U.S. government security clearance. Centennial or Cincinnati site options available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace, Computer, Software engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of controls engineering experience in aerospace or propulsion.
  • Proficiency with MATLAB/Simulink for modeling and validation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. government security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and validate engine control software and hardware interfaces.
  • Lead software verification, validation, and modeling activities with HIL/SIL workflows.
  • Collaborate across Mechanical, Aero, Systems, and Test Engineering teams to optimize performance.
  • Mentor junior engineers and support engine test programs and qualification activities.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to control system architectures.
