Job summary

A leading government contractor in Mayport, FL seeks a Senior Aegis Command & Decision Systems Author. The ideal candidate will have at least 8 years of U.S. Navy experience, particularly in the Aegis Weapon System. Responsibilities include authoring Combat Systems Capabilities documents and collaborating on project development. The position requires strong documentation skills and a high degree of familiarity with military processes. A secret security clearance is desired.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of applicable U.S. Navy experience.
• Demonstrable Aegis operational familiarity from former FC, OS, or IT rating.
• In-depth understanding of Aegis Combat System architecture.
• High proficiency in Aegis Command & Decision (C&D) required.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret technical documents.

Responsibilities

• Author Combat Systems Capabilities & Limitations projects.
• Review technical and tactical source documents for accuracy.
• Collaborate with teams to define and execute C&L project timelines.
• Prepare and review technical deliverables per CDRL requirements.
