Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced engineer to lead embedded firmware development in a fast-paced environment in the United States. You will work on product design, architecture, coding, testing, reviews, and release activities while coordinating with certification engineers to maintain standards compliance.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s in EE or CS, 5+ years in embedded firmware, and strong C skills; Masters with industrial protocol knowledge is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or computer science/engineering.
• 5+ years’ experience Embedded firmware development, debug and analysis.
• Strong experience with coding in C language.
• Master’s degree with knowledge about Industrial Communications Protocols such as HART, BLE, other protocols Plus.
• Embedded systems experience in milliwatt power environments and Microcontrollers.
• Utility or test Software development on PC.
• Software simulation experience.
• Industrial communication protocol experience.
• Design for SIL (Safety Integrity Level) and cybersecurity.
• Use of source control tools like Git, BitBucket.
• Use of Agile tools like Jira and confluence.
• Individuals who are self-motivated and able to work with little supervision.
