Job summary

Honeywell Technologies is seeking an experienced NPI Program Manager to lead complex New Product Introductions and enhancements from start to finish. You will partner with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders to define scope, milestones, budgets, risks, and readiness while reporting to the Director of Engineering Program Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline; MBA/MS is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex product development, NPI, and product-enhancement programs in a matrix environment.
  • 4+ years' experience building integrated program plans covering milestones, scope, cost, resources, dependencies, risk mitigation, and readiness.
  • 4+ years' experience coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, product management, sales, customer support, marketing, finance, operations, data, security, and compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage the NPI programs for Connected Industrials, including scope, milestones, budget, dependencies, risks, and governance.
  • Drive implementation and delivery of program outcomes aligned to business problems, customer needs, and security requirements.
  • Build and maintain a detailed program plan with schedule, scope, cost, risk mitigation, and success metrics; track progress.
  • Engage functional stakeholders beyond the core team to ensure program success across sales, support, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Use change-management processes to identify, assess, approve, and communicate changes to stakeholders.
  • Adopt organizational processes, align them with objectives, and obtain support from stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess program risks and implement mitigation plans to minimize impact on objectives.
  • Coordinate external resources, including contracted services, subject-matter experts, licenses, and infrastructure.
  • Track program health with dashboards and drive corrective actions to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
  • Perform root-cause analysis for major deviations and drive preventive actions; support budgeting and roadmap activities.

Job Description

As a The NPI Program Manager (Senior Advanced Project Engineer) leads complex New Product Introduction and product enhancement programs from initiation through delivery. Working with cross-functional product development teams, the role partners with Product and Offering Managers, Engineering Managers, and business stakeholders to define scope, plans, milestones, budgets, dependencies, risks, governance, and operational readiness.

You will report directly to our Director Engineering Program Management, and you'll work out of our Atlanta, GA location on a Hybrid work schedule.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Own and manage the NPI programs for Connected Industrials business (scope, plan milestones, budget, dependencies, risks, and change impacts) and engage the governance cadence (steering committee, business leadership, change control, program reporting, risk management, cost management, capitalization, delivery and operational readiness).
  • Drive implementation and delivery of program outcomes ensuring alignment to business problems, customer needs, quality requirement and data/security requirements.
  • Build and maintain a detailed program plan including schedule, scope, cost, risk mitigation plans with SBG functional team members; adopt systems to track and measure progress, success metrics, and realization tracking (on-time, on-cost, on -scope, on-quality and user satisfaction).
  • Ensure engagement of functional stakeholders who may not be part of the assigned program team but are essential to the success of the program (sales, customer support, customer success, marketing, finance, engineering operations, digital operations and others)
  • Use change-management and communication processes to ensure changes are identified, assessed, approved, managed, and communicated to all impacted stakeholders.
  • Adopt defined organizational processes, align them with program objectives, and obtain the support required from organizational stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify and assess program risks, and work with stakeholders to define and execute mitigation plans that minimize impacts to program objectives.
  • Engage and coordinate external resources, including contracted services, subject-matter experts, licenses, and infrastructure.
  • Track and report program health and outcomes using dashboards, and drive corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders to perform root-cause analysis for major deviations from program plans and outcomes, and drive corrective and preventive actions.
  • Participate in annual product-development budget planning, product roadmap definition and communication, software capitalization, and related initiatives that improve product-development effectiveness.
YOU MUST HAVE
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. Master's degree (MBA/MS) is a plus
  • 10+ years of experience leading complex product-development, NPI, and product-enhancement programs in a matrix environment
  • 4+ years' experience in Building integrated program plans covering milestones, scope, cost, resource needs, dependencies, risk mitigation, quality, and operational readiness.
  • 4+ years' experience in Coordinating cross-functional stakeholders across engineering, product management, sales, customer support, marketing, finance, operations, data, security, and compliance.
WE VALUE
  • Hands-on proficiency with common productivity and collaboration tools (e.g., Micrososft Project, Smartsheets, JIRA, Confluence) and familiarity with Product Security, Site Reliablity Engineering, Cloud & SaaS Software
  • Project/Program Management certification (PMP/PRINCE2/Agile) preferred. AI/ML, data analytics, or cloud certifications are a strong advantage.
  • Experience must include end-to-end program ownership across scope, schedules, budgets, dependencies, risks, governance, change control, operational readiness, and executive reporting, with demonstrated success aligning cross-functional teams to deliver business and customer outcomes.
  • Leading enterprise-scale NPI and product-development programs with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, and workstreams.
  • Establishing governance cadences, facilitating steering committees, managing change control, and communicating decisions and program status to executives.
  • Managing external resources, including contracted services, subject-matter experts, licenses, and infrastructure.
  • Using dashboards and key performance indicators to track program health, outcomes, and benefits realization, and driving root-cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions when deviations occur.
  • Supporting annual product-development budgeting, roadmap definition and communication, software capitalization, and continuous-improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills – able to operate across functions, countries, and cultural boundaries.
